How to play Baccarat
Baccarat is one of the easiest game in casinos with only 3 bet choices a player is can make - ‘Player', ‘Banker' and ‘Tie'. The objective of the game is simple, pick the winning side.
Payout
- Banker - 2:1
- Player - 2:1
- Tie 8:1
Usually in casinos, there would be a slight variation on the payouts to account for casino house advantage.
In some casinos, the players would take turns themselves to deal the cards. However, in modern casinos, usually only the dealer would deal the cards. As the facilitation of the game would provide a better overall experience in the casinos, especially so when new players do not know how to deal. The dealer would first deal one to the Player side, then to the Banker side, followed by the Player side again, and then the Banker side again. Both sides would have a pair of cards with the initial dealing. The value of the cards are then added together in respect to each side.
If either the player or banker receives a value of 8 or 9, no further cards are drawn. And the side with the higher value wins. However, there are times when there is the Banker or Player draws a third card.
Player's side draws a third card when:
Player's hand is 5 or less, a third card is drawn.
If the player's side does not take a third card, the banker's side would stand with a value of 6 or more. With a value of 5 and below, the following Banker's side rules would take effect:
Banker's side draws a third card when:
Bank value = 2 or lower,
Bank value = 3, unless the player's third drawn card is 8.
Bank value = 4, unless the player's third drawn card is 0, 1, 8, 9.
Bank value = 5, unless the player's third card was 4, 5, 6, 7.
Banks value = 6, unless the player's third card was 6, 7.
